checking if a column exists or not

<p>Hi,</p><p>I am beginner in BIRT. I am designing a new report but the dataset returning a not fixed number of columns, I mean according to the row I am retrieving -as parameter-, I am using PIVOT statement in sql query and this is why the number of columns is not fixed.</p><p>I have placed all possible columns in the form, but when I retrieve a row which doesn't have all columns placed in the form, so there is error occured in the form</p><p><img src='http://img5012.photobox.co.uk/0802855670be849bad516e00b9ac0aaeafc65988eb34df0997fffc426d142cc28830ed5b.jpg' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>I followed this solution in this link:</p><p><a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/topic/17587-checking-if-a-column-exists-or-not/'>http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/topic/17587-checking-if-a-column-exists-or-not/</a></p><p>but same error is replicated.</p><p>please guys give me a solution for this.</p><p> </p>
