optional parameter in subreport

HI, all,Thanks in advance!The report is edited from woprint report which is the out of box one, now two optional parameters are added for actualLaborDataset, its open function is coped below. the problem is when the date parameters are set, no related data is retrieved. Any help would be appreciated! '&&' is an AND operator. '||' is the OR operator.

Thanks very much for your reply!Tried Or operator ||, still no related data retrieved. I tested a simple reports using same syntax with optional parameter but worked fine. Not sure what is missing or wrong.Again, thanks!!

drag the parameter from the outline in to the layout.

Thanks!The solution is to add this line after the if statement ( and delete this line from the long query): [font="'courier new';"][font="'courier new';"]sqlText = sqlText + "order by workorder.taskid";[/font][/font]

that would do it. Order is always after the where clause.
