Spudsoft excel emitter: how to get Excel formula?

Hi,

I am trying to get a formula working in the excel file I create using the Spudsoft emitter (ExcelEmitter.Formula). However: everything I try does not result in any formula in the output. Could you give me an example of a BIRT design that contains an Excel formula in the output?

Thanks for your support.

I haven't tried using a forum la with the spudsoft emitter. In his repo, he does talk about needing to leave out the leading = Can you provide an example of a formula you're trying to use?

Hi Kristopher,

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried several things (including leaving out the = sign). I can't even get a simple formula like "A1+B1" to work, so any example of a formal that does work would be very welcome.

Kine regards,

Mikey

Looking through the UserProperties
documentation for the spudsoft emitter, it does appear that there are some options available for passing formulas to the excel output.

I would start there for outputting formulas.
