exporting BIRT reports from html view to pdf format

<p>Hi,</p><p> I am new to BIRT(2 months old).</p><p> from my web application( using j2ee, tomcat, oracle) we are generating reports using BIRT and it's working fine.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>As of client requirements :</p><p> </p><p> 1) Reports need to generated according to parameter <strong>(</strong>parameters may be in <strong>english</strong> or <strong>Gujarati) </strong></p><p><strong> -- </strong>with english parameter reports are generating but not with GUJARATI parameters why?</p><p> </p><p> 2) After querying reports with english or with some number parameters reports are generating and GUJARATI content present in it also showing in browser. </p><p> But after exporting that report to a <strong>PDF </strong>that GUJARATI content showing in previous browser is missing in PDF file(it is not showing GUJARATI content on PDF). </p><p> </p><p>Now what to do to support GUJARATI language using BIRT.</p><p> </p><p>Please help me on this. </p><p>bellow I attached pdf report after exporting from BIRT browser view <strong>(</strong> in that <strong>name</strong>, <strong>pressent address</strong> columns have GUJARATI names<strong>).</strong></p><p> </p><p>Thanks</p><p> </p><p> </p>

<p>You need to have a .ttf font that supports the language you're trying to show in PDF. Make sure you place the font where BIRT can find it. See your fontsConfig.xml to see font locations.</p>
