Year to Date calculations in Birt expression builder

<p>Hi,</p><p> </p><p>I other BI tools, we do the complex calculations like year to date..and other calculations that need ignoring some dimensions and considering some dimensions in grouping</p><p> </p><p>One such calculation is YTD where we need few if conditions and/or comparing over previous years data..I wonder if such calculations are possible in Birt expression builder?</p><p> </p><p>Can someone give me an example of how can we do calculations like YTD etc in Birt?</p><p> </p><p>Regards</p><p>Arif</p>

<p>Hi,</p><p> </p><p>what exactly do you mean by YTD ? the number of day from "01/01/2014" to now ?</p><p>in this case, you can do </p><pre class="_prettyXprint">BirtDateTime.diffDay('01/01/2014',new Date())</pre><p>In the BIRT expression builder, you have the BIRT DateTime functions or the JavaScript Date functions.</p><p>With all those functions, you can a lot of thingh. </p>
