HI, All,

Thanks in advance!

1. for the cross tab, how to format the month number as January, Febuary, march? Tried to format month as Jul from cubes , but no luck yet.

2014

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

2. it cannot print the whole report as shown in web pages after it is saved as pdf file from maximo web app, if there is a little more data there, say 2006 to 2014. both sides will be truncated.
One option would be to go to the map tab in the property editor and set up conditions to map the integer values into the month values.

There is a horizontal page break setting available for crosstabs. What is your BIRT version?

oraBirt

Great, the map worked!

Birt version is 3.71, page break has 3 options: before (always, auto, avoid), after (always, auto, avoid), and inside( auto, avoid). I set before, after as Always, but got same results, any ideas?

Also, if I have several years data, the exported pdf looks like a mess( please see the attached file).

Thanks very much for your great help!

You're probably looking at the element's page break setting. Take a look at the screenshot I attached. You'll see that when you choose a crosstab, you'll have lots more options besides properties in the property editor. Choose the column area and then page break. Here, you'll see that you can set up a horizontal page break based on year. This might help you out.

Yes, you are right, page break on column area based on year helps a lot! Thanks so much!!

But if a year has 12 months, then left and right side of the page will be truncated some, also, some numbers will be hid too. If page break is added for month, the pdf file will only display one month data for each page. Please see the attachement.

Could you set the interval to 6 months? Or change your page layout to landscape? Or adjust the margins to squeeze the 12 months in? Or reduce the font size just a tad? Just a few thoughts of ways to help.
