Image in header for Excel

Issue:
Created a report with image embedded into header of master page.
 
Generate report with format as XLS_spudsoft, generate Excel report but image does not show in header.
 
1) Image shows fine in viewer page or PDF, Word. 
2) Tried ExcelEmitter.StructuredHeader set to true and image shows in Excel on first row. 
 
Birt version: 4.4.0
Using BirtViewer out of the box.
 
 
Please let me know if latest version of BIRT supports image in header of Excel output file.

Per structured header documentation:
"If set to â€œfalseâ€, the master page header and footer will be translated to Excel page header and footer respectively. Otherwise the master page header and footer will be rendered into the Excel sheet at the top and the bottom of the sheet. The Excel header and footer comprise of three areas: left, center and right. If you have a grid with a single row and three columns in you master page header or footer, the emitter will extract text content of each grid cell and put it into a corresponding area of the Excel header and footer. If a grid in the master page header or footer has more than one row or more than three columns, all content will be put into the left area of the Excel header or footer."
 
First following sentence is not happening for me when the master page header contains an image:
If set to â€œfalseâ€, the master page header and footer will be translated to Excel page header and footer respectively
 
Text works but image just simply does not show in the Excel page header.

I understand better, now. From the sounds of it, it's a bug.
