Hi folks,

i've got a little question to gantt charts. I would like to use the graphical presentation of a gantt chart for the visualisation of program calls over time. In the end, i want to see a chart with time on the x-axis and my program calls on the y-axis. data is queried in an appropriate format:

program call name

start date

end date

I want to see the last 24 hours on my x-axis. As you may have guessed, a program call can appear several times in the defined time period, so i want to see several gantt-blocks behind each other.

As long as i generate the chart with defaults, i get a small time slot for every apperance (see screenshot 1). When i enabled grouping for the Category (X) Series, i expected these time slot to appear in a row behind each other. But instead, i get one big block with the minimum start date and the maximum end date.

Anyone here having an idea how to tell BIRT to keep seperate blocks? My first idea was to solve this with series, but i can't know how many times the program calls appear, so it needs to somehow be done dynamically? Help?

Regards,
