<p>BIRT noob here. Probably asking a stupid question, but here goes.</p>

<p>I am working on an integrated BIRT app that will run as a standalone on a Tomcat server. I have been prototyping with simple reports created (by myself) as placeholders for the actual reports that are being created by someone with more design skills than i possess. My prototypes work fine in the application, but reports created by the designer throw an authentication error. Thinking it's a simple password issue, i fire up BIRT and change the report to match the the password used in my prototypes. Testing the report with the updated password work fine from BIRT in the Report Viewer, but fails authentication on the standalone Tomcat. Any thoughts on what may be happening to cause the error? <br><br>
