AVE on crosstab
oraBirt

HI,

Thanks for your help in advance!

Birt designer version is 3.7, a Summary field is set as sum( no ave in data cube), after this field is placed in crosstab, right click it and change its function as AVE. The problem is some of the calculation are right, and some are not.

Not sure what I did wrong, any help is appreciated!

Not sure how your table is setup, but, if your using avg() in your query like it looks like you are in the dataset. Then try selecting last as the aggregation.

Thanks, do you mean to do the avg() in birt query?

the problem is there is no avg() in birt function or native javascript functions.

Any ideas? Thanks very much!

The Sql you attached with the excel sheet has the average, is that working for you?

If so as Kristopher suggested use LAST as the aggregation choice, so Function would be LAST.

Getting sum, count, then "add Derived Measure" solved the problem.

Thanks very much!
