<p>Do you really need to script here? Based on your question, you can probably add the desired functionality by adding a Highlight rule on the data element or the cell that contains it. Simply select the data element or the cell in your report design and add a rule in the Highlights area of the property editor, as indicated in the screenshot below.</p>

<p>If you have tried that before and it doesn't work, try to explain why it doesn't work so we can take a better look at it.</p>
