Parameter List dropdown can not display too many values

HI,
our database contain large number of records to display in combobox as a parameter values (around 1 million records). it can not be cascaded in parameter as it is required in single combobox .
 
Is there some alternative like pagination in the parameter-page list drop-down and if yes, are there any demo examples ?

Hi,
 
 
create a parameter of list box in which you have to select in list of value as dynamic. before creating parameter u have to create a data set for this parameter. now in list of value select the parameter data set. then on first data set > go to edit >parameter > new parameter.
 
now run the report. it will help you.

I created list parameter but due to large number of records it is not populating result and system is going hang.
and also i scare to display such huge records which needs too much scroll. 
suggest any way to rid it up .

With commercial BIRT there is an Auto Suggest option (similar to a Google search) this is not available in OS BIRT and you would have to implement this outside of BIRT.
