<p>Hello Terry,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This port is required for the installation. Here's a comprehensive list:</p>
<p> </p>
<div>Required during and after installation:</div>
<div> </div>
<div>8000, 8100, 8432, 8500, 8700, 9432</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Required after installation:</div>
<div> </div>
<div>8010, 8011, 11100, 11101, 12100, 13500, 14000, 14100, 14200, 15200, 18500, 21000, 21500</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If the program using port 8000 is non-essential, you might try shutting it down while F-Type is running. Otherwise, I would suggest a dedicated VM for F-Type, to ensure that there are no port conflicts.</div>

<p>Hi. And if those ports are essentials? Can IHub works on different ports ? Config file maybe ?</p>

<p>Is there a particular port or ports you already have in use that cannot be stopped or changed that conflict with the iHub's ports?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ports on the iHub can be changed. However, some are required for installation and cannot be changed until after installation and the location of where the ports need to be changed can vary depending on the particular port.</p>

<p>Actually port 8001 is in use by EMC legato networker. I could temporarily shutdown the networker service to install iHub but i understand that i will need to change port after installation. Can you give me the path to config file ?</p>
JFreeman
<p>Port 8001 is the SOAP Dispatch SSL Port and can be modified in the acserverconfig.xml which is located in the AC_CONFIG_HOME. In a typically installation the AC_CONFIG_HOME will be the "./BIRTiHub/iHub/shared/config" directory.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The acserverconfig.xml is broken down into templates and this port is configured on a per template basis. By default BIRT iHub F-Type will be configured to use the "small" template out of the box.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I would recommend reading over my blog post on the <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://blogs.actuate.com/under-the-hood-birt-ihub-f-type-understanding-the-primary-configuration-files/'>primary
configuration files for BIRT iHub F-Type</a> for additional insight into the structure and usage of the configuration files.</p>
