Using Javascript from Shared Resources

Hello,
I try to import a JS file do my report design but as far as I am, I can only do that with an online source.
I have created a text element where i define the source of my JS files.
For example I'm using this
<script src="<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.2/jquery.min.js'>http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.2/jquery.min.js"></script></a>
 
It works fine but I need to add local files too.
How can I do that?
Every JS file i want to import is in my resource explorer but how can i access them?

Hi,
 
Simply reference the JavaScript file as a resource in your report. At the report level, go to Properties --> Resources and add the reference to the JavaScript file (bottom pf the screen, after Properties and Jar files.

I have already tried this but it doesn't work.
 
Maybe this helps to solve my problem:
I always run and view the report as html, as soon as i try to run it in the web viewer, the script doesn't work at all.
But here is the interesting part, when i add the js in my properties -> resources window, I get a huge error in the report viewer and the last line is "ReferenceError: "location" is not defined."
So it seems I still have to "define" the location, but i don't know how.

Can you zip your rptdesign and js file and send it over? If you can create a simple test case with Classic Models, even better!

I see now. In your report, you are trying to implement client-side scripting, which is implemented differently than server-side scripting using resources files.

First of all thank you very much for your help.
I have found this post earlier but i didn't get that working, could you give me an example report design for it so i can see where I am making mistakes?
The example link in the blog itself doesn't work for me, it seems to be offline.

I was able to download the example from DevShare (there was another link at the end of the blog post...) There it is!
 
And it works... You just need to change the data source information to point to the csv file.
