formAPI help

All,
Is there a way to use formAPI on DCR's that were created without formAPI? For example, we have decided to go the formAPI route, can we start embedding JavaScript into our exisitng datacapture template to do validation on existing DCR's?

Any help on this would be great!!

I think so - but it will only validate when they are saved (after they are edited through the templating GUI again). So it won't fix existing validation errors; that would still need to be done manually.
