Default parameter value missing

We have a number of reports with parameters dynamically populated from a database query. With the eclipse designer (4.3.2) and viewer, and with the BIRT viewer toolkit, the first value in the parameter list populates the parameter by default, but with BIRT ihub F-Type the parameter is blank and the user has to select a value for each parameter.
Is this a bug?

This could be a behavior difference with how you are performing this operation between version 4.3.2 and 4.2.3. BIRT iHub F-Type uses the 4.2.3 engine versus the 4.3.2 engine which you have been testing on before publishing it to an F-Type installation.
 
Can you recreate a simple version of this report which does the same dynamic parameter population in the 4.2.3 designer and see if you get the same result?
