Error using parameters
MBK@CP

Hi,

I get the following error message at viewing my report and using parameters (after entering the parameter).

"Required parameter missing: __executablename / inputfile must be specified.
PARAMETER1= __executablename / inputfile"

This is what I´ve done:

- create a report in BIRT Report Designer

- use a data record with one string parameter (defined a report parameter, a data set parameter and linked them)

- testing the report in the BIRT designer without any errors

Can anybody help me?

Thanks a lot!!

Kind regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

The most recent releases of BIRT iHub, both BIRT iHub 3 and BIRT iHub F-Type, utilize the 4.2.3 engine which can experience unexpected behavior when a report developed in a new version such as 4.4.0 is executed.

Could you please recreate this report using the version 4.2.3 designer which corresponds to your iHub release. Once this is complete, if there are still issues with the report running, we can look further into the specifics at that time.

You can download the BIRT Designer Professional release which utilizes the 4.2.3 engine here: <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
