Installing custom functions

Hi,
 
I have a custom function that I want use in BIRT, I wrapped it in a Eclipse plug-in. The problem is that i don't know how to install this plugin into the BIRD Designer Enviroment. It's this the best way to install the function into the enviroment?.

You should just need to place the plug-in in the plugins or dropins folder in your designer install.
