Charts : time graph
shir

Hi All,

I am trying to design a simple report which displays details of the input time of files which we receive from other servers.

This report will have a simple time graph;

x-axis: Calender date

y-axis : time at which the file is received.

for example:

CalenderDate::FileInputDateTime

15-Oct-2014 15-Oct-2014 11:00

16-Oct-2014 16-Oct-2014 08:00

17-Oct-2014 17-Oct-2014 11:30

18-Oct-2014 18-Oct-2014 09:20

19-Oct-2014 19-Oct-2014 09:45

When i plot the graph with the same data, the graph always has a +ve gradient, since it considers both date and time. i.e. 15-Oct-2014 11:00 < 16-Oct-2014 08:00

(but 11:00 should be greater than 08:00, considering only time and not date)

However when i remove the date from date-time column, the data is taken as a text and dose't plot the graph.

Can anybody suggest as to how we can achieve this?

Please let me know if you need any further details from my side

Use a function (dateDiff) to get the minutes of the day and plot that.

shir

Thanks,

However this function will return an integer value(minutes of the day).

I would like to get the y-axis scale as time, hh:mm (00:00 to 24:00), and plot it against the processing date(x-axis)
