How to generate excel format from .rptdesign

Maybe anybody know, how to do that.  C</span><span style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:'Source Sans Pro', sans-serif;">ould any provide api or share the java code to generate the report.</span></p>

<p>when you execute your rptdesign, you only have to choose the output format rptdocument, pdf, xls, xlsx... (by default rptdocument).</p>
<p>This is an OOTB functionality.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>What version of BIRT are you using and how did you generate an output document ?</p>
