Empty column in crosstabs
zharenkov

Hello,

I've got birt report with 2 crosstabs in it. The tabs contain the name of the service as header and customers rating as row values. In each crosstab i've got first column without header and with 0 in each row.

I tried to use "Visiblity" tab with the rule like this

data['category']==""

but that has no effect. Also I tried to add if statement in fetch script - again no result.

Is any way to hide this columns in report?

In attached files there are my birt report and pdf file, where you can see first empty columns in each table

Thanks

Sounds like you could filter the null values for that dimension on your dataset and that value would not exist in the cube to be shown in the crosstab. Let me know.

I tried to add if statement in fetch script

if (serviceName!=null){
//here some code
}

but empty columns are still in my report. Or you mean filter in open script?

With a scripted dataset, you'd need to handle stepping to the next row of data in your fetch script. If not, you'd still push the empty rows through because each time that function processes, it creates a row. Or, you could pre-process the data in your open script to strip out the rows with a null value so you don't have to worry about incrementing through your data in the fetch.

You could also probably just put a filter on your crosstab.
