chart interactivity works only for Mouse Over

Hi, 
I am not able to get chart interactivity to work, other than Mouse Over. 
I know my chart interactivity is enabled, because I do get good Mouse Over results (both static like 'hello' or dynamic like row["whatever"]. 
Here's a specific example: 
1. I took a rptdesign from an earlier post (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/topic/13591-no-interactivity-in-gantt-chart/'>http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/topic/13591-no-interactivity-in-gantt-chart/</a>). (Mouse Over works fine here.) 
2. Then I altered the Value (Y) Series Series Interactivity for Mouse Click so that it would Show Tooltip 'miami'. 
3. When I run it in my Report Viewer (or when I run the rptdesign directly in either Chrome or IE by calling the API), I get no interactivity on Mouse Click. 
I thought the problem might be unique to the Gantt, so I tried the same with a bar chart. 
Any ideas about why most chart interactivity isn't working?

What BIRT version are you using so I can look there first?

I'm not sure how to tell the BIRT version.
 
But I know that the executable I downloaded is eclipse-reporting-luna-R-win32-x86_64.zip.
 
In Eclipse if I go to [Help][About Eclipse], it says Luna (4.4.0), Build id: 20140612-0600.

Perfect. The BIRT version goes right along with the Eclipse version (4.4.0).

Can you describe what you do?
 
I used the rptdesign you posted, and Mouse Click doesn't work for me.
 
Here are the details:
 
By going into Edit Chart, the only settings I see for any kind of interactivity are on the "Value (Y) Series". Its "Mouse Click" is set to Show Tooltip with row["ORDERDATE"]. 
However when I run the report in the BIRT Report Viewer, and then click anywhere in the graph, nothing happens. 
Then to make sure I'm thinking about this correctly, I add interactivity for "Mouse Over" on the "Value (Y) Series". I run the report, and then when I hover over the horizontal Gantt bars, I do see the fixed word "hello".

I'm doing nothing special. I run the report in Chrome. Click on the bar and get this:

I must have a slightly broken instance, then.
 
By the way, what does it mean "I run the report in Chrome" ? I run the report and it shows up in my BIRT Report Viewer. Maybe there is some way I could test it in Chrome?

Go to Window -> Preference -> Report Design -> Preview and choose to view in external browser.
