I do not have a Impala instance running. It is however very simple. Create a new data source, select 'Cloudera Hive Data Source' and you should get a screen like below. Make sure HiveServer2 is selected from Server Type. Enter your specific environment information. Once you create the the data source, the data set should be similar to SQL.
