how to design a BIRT report that has 25 columns or fields

<p>We have to design a Birt template that has 25 fields, the output of the report is excel.</p>

<p>Have you found a specific issue outputting 25 columns to Excel? Attached is a report that outputs 34 columns. When you run it in the BIRT Viewer, all the columns are squished, but it renders nicely in Excel.</p>

<p>Thanks for the quick reply. should we need to select any other template like landscape or etc. coz A4 is not giving us enough space.</p>

<p>Also please let us know the steps to design this report in BIRT eclipse.</p>

<p>If your output type is Excel, then the page size is irrelevant. In my example, I used Legal Size/Landscape for the Master Page, but it was more for convenience when I created the report. When BIRT outputs to Excel, it will fill as many columns as needed in Excel. In the example I sent you with 34 columns in a BIRT table, the output in Excel uses columns A to AH. After that, you can vary the width of the column in Excel to adjust the display.</p>

<p>As for building the report, no special steps are required. In my example, I simply dragged and dropped the data set onto the page.</p>
