Hi all!
 
I'm using birt engine 4.4.1 in eclipse designer the following beforeFactory code is run, but on the server it throws the following exception

Which emitter are you running from the designer and how are you executing this from the designer and from the deployed viewer? Also, from the designer, do you get the expected result? Or does the error just not get thrown? Let me know.

Don't matter which emitter i use, native html, pdf or spudsoft xlsx emitter, the reports fails.
 
I generate report using eclipse's "View report as ...". On the server we download the reports from the output url with parameters, birt is running with tomcat 7.
 
Yes in the designer, i get the expected results.

Just a quick thought before I give it a try. Did you try moving this code to the beforeRender?
