I'll try be to clear

I've a problem ; simply : I try to have a total of three different datasets/tables. 
 
I want to have a total of all the tables.
 
I tried a lot of thing, like GlobalVariable and added a column with a result, ... 
 
Could you help me? 
Give me some informations? 
I'm a bit lost...

Use report variables. In the attached sample (using Classic Models so you can run it) I created a report variable named 'Grand Total'. Then in the onCreate event of the data items I want to aggregate across the tables I added this script:

vars["Grand Total"] = BirtMath.add(vars["Grand Total"],this.getValue());</pre>
Lastly I display the report variable. Hope this helps.

Hi Mica
I'm using Eclipse Platform 3.7.1 (Maximo 7.5.0.3) and when I try to open your attached report. I get a message: The report file version "3.2.23" is not supported.
 
I am able to view the code on the XML Source tab.

I am able to add similar code to my data item, but I don't think I put it in the correct place because the total does not get aggregated. I'm wondering if it has to do with the rows are "Group Header" rows.

This report is a 10 level hierarchy report, with 2 data sets. The first data set gets the top level record, the second dataset gets all the children in their hierarchy order.
 
I have attached the report. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never mind.... I feel so stupid. I forgot to put the "oncreate" code on each of the 10 levels. :-)

No worries.
 
P.S. In the future you can replace lines 2 and 3 from the XML source of the report with lines 2 and 3 of a report created in your version. In most cases this will enable the report to tun (unless it is using features not supported in your version).
