Dataset sequence
VSafonov

In a dataobject with multiple datasets is there a way to specify an exact sequence when DS is populated?

The goal being is that 1st DS should populate a variable that will be used as a param for a second DS

That was about a report design. Can I do bindings in a data object?

Are you planning on using the .datadesign or the .data file?

VSafonov

Will be using .datadesign. The goal is to build data file by appending data to it. Parameter will be a date that will be used to pull new data.

The data set sequence when generating a .data file is the order they appear in XML Source which is the same as what they appear in the GUI. Not the order they appear in the outline or the Data Explorer (as that is alphabetical). So as long as the data set you use to retrieve the max timestamp is first then you are good to go. BTW, you can drag the data sets to change the order in the GUI and this will change the XML Source also.
