page numbers and Page 1 of N
olonok

Hi

I am creating a complex report, which iterate over a table of clients and then for each client is produced some information organized in subreports . each induvidual report per client contains several pages and visibility , page numbering and break page is controled per subreport . Page numbering i managed to numerate correctly per client , reseting everytime client change, but i couldn't manage how to introduce a total per client on the style page 1 of N, being N the number of pages of every specific client.

per subreport I am including tables which access to diferrent tables coleccting information and in the details row of this tables i am introducing scripts on On create events which control le numbers of line per page and consequently case the limit is reached a page break is produced creating a new page. This code works fine

to numerate pages i reused code I found here and with varaibles and a textbox on the mastepage pages are correctly numered and reset everytime program move to new client

my problem is how to introduce , this total page number, showing the total of pages per client and get something like page 1 of 35, 2 of 35 etc , being 35 total number of pages per that client. I managed to create page 1 of 1 , 2 of 2, but this is not the requirement

somebody have experience on that and can help me?

thanks

Juan

Take a look at this DevShare. It does it for grouping, but the same technique you can use for sections.
