Using inline

Can i pass a parameter to inline command based on a the value stored in a dcr.
for ex. if i have a field in my dcr called "Item_Desc".
If Item_desc = 'shirt' then i want to pass 1 to inline
else i want to pass 2 to inline.
Is it possible using formapis.
Any pointers to sample code will be most welcome.

You cant use inline commands for this, as they get executed before any user input.

FormAPI I believe is what you are looking for.
Take at look at the API on your TeamSite server
