Reload DCR after Preview
Jeremy

Hi,
When we click on Preview in a DCR our .tpl has been set up to deploy the contents of the DCR to a database. If there are certain fields that are not populated (Id numbers) then these are inserted into the database from a Number sequence. This value is also written back to the DCR. However this value does not appear in the DCR unless we close it and reopen it. Is there anyway of reloading the DCR once the Preview is complete?
What I am asking (in a round about sort of way) is whether there is a way to reload the DCR after a Preview is done? I don't think it can be as simple as on click of Preview then relod as the new contents will not have been written to the file system yet. One idea is to have a delay on the Preview before reloading - but how long to wait? Is there anyway of doing some sort of call back from a .tpl on completion to the origonal DCR? That would be the ideal scenario, but I doubt it is possible without extensive coding.
Any idea's?
Jeremy

I think you could use a FormAPI call to the server onSave or onSaveDone (not sure which you need) to run some custom CGI/JSP to return JavaScript to populate the templating form, then automatically save the DCR with the update values.
