Page Break issue for multiple tables in every page
newscott

Hi,

Is it possible to design three tables with one dataset that should be displayed by "page break" in xlsx. I mean if the page split is done by "Customer name", every "Customer name" page in output should have three different tables which i have designed.Each of my tables will have different grouping. For this in which table should i give page break?

Thanks,

If I'm understanding correctly, you'd need an outer table that is bound to a data set with your customer names in it, then, you'd embed your three tables and have them filtered/parameterized by the outer table's customer name field. Then, you'd just need to put the page break after each customer in the outer table. That should do it.

Hi,

Thanks for your response
. But what you meant by

"you'd embed your three tables and have them filtered/parameterized by the outer table's customer name field".

I already tried doing outer table which consists three tables within it. Its splitting correctly but the data for every customer page remains same as it is in first page.Because i cant give page break for the inner tables which are in outer table's customer name group. I am clear that i miss something at this spot.

Thanks,

If you're using JDBC data sets, take a look at this blog post:

;

Otherwise, you'd do a similar thing only using filters on the inner tables to filter out only the data that applies to the outer table's value.

If you'd like me to make an example of either type, let me know your data set type and I'll get one set up for you.
