While I export my birt report as Xls file I get some merged cell. How can 'I eliminate this .

What version of BIRT are you using?
Can you provide a sample report we can run based on classic models or a flat file data source that demonstrates the issue?

Make sure the master page has nothing in the way of grids etc. Grids in your tables can also lead to merged cells.
