Parameter Modification

Hi there,
I got some problem with the right use of parameter. What i want to do is changing a specific parameter value based on the content of a row.
here comes what i am talking about

Is this possible with the configuration i have chosen? The way it is done it always returns null
So the aim is to change the value of the default value based on a column content.
 
I scripted the Code from the upper part of the screenshot in the default Value placeholder.

Parameters are evaluated before there is any data in the report. Can you provide more details on your requirement?

Hi,
My requirements looks like:
I have a table from which the first column is hyperlinked to a report parameter in a different report. lets call it from level 2 to level 3.
Now depending on the value of the report parameter i.e. ID. i have to change values in a computed Column in the linked report and the Computation uses the Value of another Parameter.
Letz say i have 3 parameters x,y,z where X is the one i get from the level 2 report.
Basicly my computed Column does z*2+y*2/(z+y) where z/y=parameter("z/y").value
 
now when a certain value from X is submitted i want to change the value of the two parameters Z and Y. To make it more clear lets say my default value on Z and Y is 0.5 now when the parameter X which is given by level 2 report hits a cetrain value i.e. ID= 123 i want to change Z to 0,3 and Y to 0,7.
 
The fact that parameters are evaluated before data is in the report sound like i cannot do it that way. But since i am fairly new to Birt i have no better workaround in my mind atm.
Would appreciate any help and i hope my requirement describtion is not too confusing.

I am not sure I understand. Can you build examples using dummy data we can run?
