I was trying achieve the functionality of month and quarter grouping. Though it seems to be simple but causing me lot of issues.
 
On assuming i have every day data , created sample report.By adding group literals in script created dynamic grouping.
 
issue1 : for given date range parameters should group the month date( it is similar but not). let say start date is 10/03/2015, it should group every month as 10th day.i.e the label/group as in chart x-axis as 03/10/2015,04/10/2015,05/10/2015......
 
In case of 31st jan as start date. it should display as 31/2015,28/2015,31/2015,30/2015
 
issue 2: The same above scenario for quarter as well. 
 
 
Appreciate any help on this issue.

I believe grouping for month is always going to be grouped based on the start of the month and not the last or middle of the month which is reflected in the grouping you are seeing in the table you have created.

Sorry for the late response. Yes. The behavior is default grouping. Can't we avoid this or can we create custom group which reflects my requirement? should I need to do any changes in report.

As far as I know, the month grouping is always going to be based around the first of the month.
 
You may be able to work around it by using scripting to subtract days from your dates to make the 10th the 1st, the 11th the 2nd, etc. for the grouping and then convert the dates back when displaying. However, this is going to get pretty tricky due to the varying length of months.
 
As you have already been working with Support, I would recommend bringing up this issue as well and requesting an enhancement be filed to potentially add an option for adjusting the grouping date in a future release.
