Hi,
is there any way to get the current workarea name in an inline command ipl called from a datacapture template?

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Please read the relevant section of the TeamSite Templating Developers' Guide - in my 5.5.2 version it starts on page 54 and the part you're interested in is on page 55.

You can get it through the environment variables.

foreach $key (sort keys %ENV)
{
$value=$ENV{$key};
if ($key eq IW_DCT)
{
$value =~ s/(.*)\\WORKAREA\\.*/$1/;
}
}

You can then split the value and fecth whatever is required
