Unable to use JSON/Web Service as a datasource for BIRT Design

<p>Hi All,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I am unable to use JSON as a data source for a report design in BIRT.</p>
<p>getting json from JIRA and using Scripted data source but not able to parse the json.</p>
<p>Also using the Web service to get data from JIRA but not able to get any records.</p>
<p>Error 500 coming while hitting it.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Please help</p>

<p>What is the issue you are running into when attempting to parse the JSON in the scripted data set? If you are able to get the JSON object into the scripted data set, then it should be able to be parsed.</p>

<p>The Web Service data source was designed to use SOAP so I do not believe is going to work how you would want it to for handling JSON.</p>

<p>We are fetching the data from JIRA in form of a JSON.</p>
<p>This we are passing to a Scripted Datasource by looking at the following example - </p>

<p>When we are using it directly in this format, then we are not getting any data in the preview option of the datasource.</p>
<p>It gives the following error: - </p>
<p>Data not found</p>

<p>Can you post the full stack trace you are receiving?</p>
