Unable to sum two different tables
Surendra Babu C

I need to achieve something like summing up values across cross-tab(example excel file attached)

product Unit cost from factory is coming from one table/data set and is a sub-total, landed cost is coming from another table/dataset and is sub-total too. The cost per unit is some of all the values. And it should be per product classified by product family

Could you please help me out with achieving this?

Thanks in advance..

Persistent global variables can be named dynamically, so you could use these and name them using the product family and product name so you can easily access the appropriate variable at the appropriate time. You'd just pull the value from the PGV, add to it, then reset it with the new value.

reportContext.setPersistentGlobalVariable("varname",new Number(value)); would work to set it with a number value.
reportContext.getPersistentGlobalVariable("varname") would grab the value.

Let me know if you have questions or need an example.
