Re-use cross tabs data in sub-report
Surendra Babu C
<p>I am trying to implement a report that has a crossTab. And on the crossTab I have calculated the GrandTotal of savings per quarter.</p>

<p><span style="color:#000000;"> Time Period</span></p>
<p>FY15Q1</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">FY15Q2</p>
<p> Product</p>
<p style="text-align:right;">Cost</p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:#000000;">Saving</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;">Cost</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;">Saving</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;">Abc</span></p>
<p style="text-align:right;">10</p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:#000000;">2</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;">25</span></p>

<p> </p>
<p>Now I need to add one more sub report which can use the Grand Total's from above crossTab</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#000000;">Saving</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">Cumulative</span></strong></p>

<p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:#000000;">10</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;">10</span></p>
<p>FY15Q2</p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:#000000;">13</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;">23</span></p>
<p>FY15Q3</p>
<p style="text-align:right;"><span style="color:#000000;">15</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;">38</span></p>
<p> </p>
<p>Is it possible to achive this?</p>

It's a bit tough to read your post, but if you're wanting to be able to use a value in a second crosstab from a first crosstab, you can create persistent global variables and name them using the dimensions of the first crosstab and then, access the PGVs using the dimension values from the second crosstab.<br><br>Let me know if you have questions or would like a sample (let me know your BIRT version if you want this).
