JavaScript API
Katieee

If I have a front ended javascript web program - can I use said javascript api or not - why does it make it sound like you can only use it for those two options? :S

On Actuates website it says:

'If you're using the BIRT Viewer Toolkit or BIRT iHub, you have access to the Actuate JavaScript API (JSAPI).'

The Actuate JavaScript API (JSAPI) is not available as part of the open source BIRT runtime. It is developed and provided by Actuate (now OpenText). To my knowledge, the BIRT Viewer Toolkit is not longer available which means that an iHub instance is the currently available option for a deployment that includes JSAPI.

Therefore, if you are not using an iHub you will not have access to the JSAPI.

Hi Jesse,

Thanks for clearing that up for me! It doesn't sound like it will be of use to me, or at least not for now anyway

Thanks,
