Two Parameters - first one manual and second one dynamic

<p>I have a report where the first parameter has to be entered manually (a number) and based on that number der second parameter should build up a dynamic list. The user chooses one value of that list and then the actual query should be fired as usual.</p>

<p>I can't see a method to do this with BIRT - especially how to aggregate the second parameter list at runtime.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>In other words:</p>

Is creating a data set that holds the possible values that could be entered in the first parameter not a possibility? If you could select the first number vs enter it in a text control, you could use a cascading parameter group to do what you're wanting. If you need the manual entry, you'll likely have to create a custom parameter page or create a parameter report that will collect the first parameter, passing it to another report that provides the listing based on the manually entered value.
