mac newbie question: where is the "New Report" menu item?

<p>I am looking for the New Report menu item in the MacOS-version of BIRT 4.4 designer, where do i find it?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I have opened a BIRT project i had in Git, i see that ok, all my existing files, but there is no New-Report that i can find....where is it!?</p>

<p>The New Report option should be located in the same menu context as creating any new file type in Eclipse.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>If you do not see the option for a new report design, my guess is that you do not have the Report Design perspective open. Try opening the Report Design perspective and see if it shows up.</p>

<p>First make sure you are in the correct perspective (See OpenReportDesignPerspective.png).</p>
<p>Then you should see the File -> New -> Report option (See FileNewReport.png)</p>

<p>Yeah, thanks all, it was my own fault for not installing the right version, i had the Open Source version.</p>
