How to invoke OpenDeploy by java API?

Does any API exists for how to invoke OpenDeploy from a java program? This is not mean kick-off OD, but moniting etc. Thanks.

There is not a published API for accessing OpenDeploy functions, although there is a documented command line interface. We are looking at adding an API.

Can you elaborate on the types of functions you would like to access and how you'd like to use them. Also, what sort of interface is preferable (Java, web service, etc.)?
