<p>I am new to BIRT and using Birt designer professional to create a Data Object and Design a report using it as a source.</p>

<p>My data object is a scripted data object . I have also created a data set under it. Now have to include some code in the scripts to be executed on Open, fetch etc for the data set to get data. </p>

<p>While trying to write script in the script editor, every-time i write something it appears that the script editor refreshes and the cursor moves to the beginning of the file. This is very irritating as i am not able to use the script editor for scripting. I have to write my code in a notepad and then copy paste here.</p>

<p>Can someone please help me know why the script editor refreshes every-time i try to edit something?</p>
<p>Does the script editor behaves like this only or is there some default setting that needs to disabled to stop auto refresh of the script editor?</p>

<p>I cannot even select any text from the editor to copy. It appears no selection of text is allowed in the editor.</p>
