Avoiding Data Set Calls
nishant_mintri

I have a normal JDBC Data Source and a WebService Data Source .

Depending on the output of the query of the JDBC Data Source , I would like to make a conditional call to the WebService Data Source . Is there any way to achieve this ?

Could you elaborate for me on your use case and the conditional call to the WebService Data Source?

Also, what version of BIRT are you using?

Jesse ,

Let me rephrase ,

Is it possible to not execute the query associated with a table , without "DROPING" the table ?

You can remove or modify the data bindings for the table with scripting and that could prevent the associated data from querying if there are no other elements that also are bound to that data set. The data set will only execute at runtime if there is a element bound to it.

You will need to make this change in beforeFactory or earlier otherwise the data set will have already started executing.

Take a look a this documentation for details on the order of events when executing a report: <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
