<p>You may not use BirtDateTime in a dashboard parameter. You may add a data source with a current date/time column and add that to a parameter gadget.</p>

<p>This feature (ability to use BirtDateTime) has been previously requested by another user. An enhancement request has been filed and this feature may be added in a future release. However, the dashboard is meant to be a simple interface. For more advanced functionality, we suggest using a full-featured report design tool, like BIRT Designer Professional. </p>
