Enable incremental Update

Hi,
i am trying to implement the incremental update in my report or dashboard.so,
the first thing which i need to implement is when i refresh the report or dashboard which is generated using the .data file(object file of .datadesign) and get the updated data from the database .so whatever changes made in the database got reflect on the report or dashboard.
 
so for that i tried the solution got from actuate PDF is that use Enable incremental update.
after following all the steps from that it is going to append the latest data on the old data.
or provide me any example for doing the same.
any suggestions welcome!

I apologize there was not a response to your original question.
It looks like this one some how slipped by.
 
Based on your description, I believe the incremental update is going to be the route to go down.
Did you get that working based on the documentation?
