Are you noticing any issues when running or using the designer?

The null pointer exception looks to have something to do with loading the information object designer editor classes. If you are using a 64bit JVM that may be the cause the error. However, if you are not using information objects it is most likely not something to worry about.

Regarding the BIRT Home error, are you getting this ever time you launch the designer or did it only happen on the first launch?

As for the driver error, it looks like its failing to find or load the driver: de.simplicit.vjdbc.VirtualDriverBirtWrapper

As far as I know, this is not an out of the box driver. Are you pointing to an existing workspace or opening an existing report that is referencing this driver?

Hello,

My connection properties for 4.4 is based on the properties of 4.0 version. In 4.0 that works fine. So the driver and the Db are not the origin of my problems.

I noticed this difference 4.4 vs 4.0 in the log file.

It looks like you are using the 64bit version of the 4.4 designer and a different java version.

That may be the source of the IOB related errors.
