VANITHAKB

Hi Guys,

i have come up with a tricky requirement (might not be tricky for u guys)

I have a table in a layout and have grouping on one column.
now i want each group to be displayed in separate column

i have given a sample table structure below

Entity ID TimeStamp Value

com_01

com_01 May 5, 2015 5:30 AM 49.79

com_01 Jun 4, 2015 5:30 AM 50.19

com_02

com_02 May 5, 2015 5:30 AM 50.52

com_02 Jun 4, 2015 5:30 AM 49.78

com_03

com_03 May 5, 2015 5:30 AM 49.77

com_03 Jun 4, 2015 5:30 AM 50.23

here Grouping done on Entity ID column and this entity Id is selected from user, multiple selection allowed.

now i want the above table to look like as follows

TimeStamp com_01 (first group) com_02(second group) com_03(3rd group)

May 5, 2015 5:30 AM 49.79 50.52 49.77

Jun 4, 2015 5:30 AM 50.19 49.78 50.23

is it possible like this??
pls help

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Using a crosstab will create grouping horizontally as well as vertically. I am sure you can find many examples of crosstabs in this forum, but I have attached a simple one loosely based on your example to help you.

Regards,
