remove embedded images

<p>If I delete an embedded image from the layout tab, the image remains embedded in the design file.  How do I un-embed an image completely?</p>

<p>Via GUI... You can go to the Outline view of your Report Design to remove the image completely.  If you have default perspective for Report Design, then it's in the lower left corner (next to the Navigator tab).</p>

<p>Then, expand the "Embedded Images" folder section (3rd to the last), and right-click and select "Delete".</p>

<p>Via non-GUI... (non-recommended; but an option)  You can remove the <span style="font-family:'courier new', courier, monospace;"><structure></span> from the XML under the  <span style="font-family:'courier new', courier, monospace;"><list-property name="images"></span> section.</p>
