Column getting wider when more hidden columns are used
kajurengg

Hi,

I have a table having 30 columns. Out of 30, 20 are hidden columns and user can enable show column to see the 20 columns of his choice. But the problem is, since 20 are hidden, the remaining 10 columns become wider to accomodate to the page size and it does not look appealing to see the output. Please let me know how to handle the column size fixed.

Please let me know if you need more details on this.

Thanks,

Hi,

By default, reports have auto layout and tables will readjust themselves automatically to take advantage of the full width of the page. So, if you hide columns, the remaining visible columns will become wider to occupy all the space available. If you want columns to always have the same width, whatever they are hidden or not, you need to do two things:

1) set the report to have a fixed layout by clicking anywhere in the report and going to Property Editor --> Report --> General

2) Set the individual width of each column in the table by clicking on the column header and setting the width in the Property Editor
